Integrity Solutions Announces Time & Billing, A Functional Application
Template for Rapid Development of Custom WorkFlow Applications
April 20, 1993 (St. Paul, Minnesota) - Integrity Solutions, today announced
the availability of Time & Billing, the first of a series of Functional
Application Templates, designed to speed development of custom Workflow
applications for their clients.
A Functional Application Template is a fully functional application that
speeds development of custom applications by demonstrating a level of
functionality not found in prototypes. These applications are designed to be
easily customized by Integrity Solutions' highly trained staff and extensive
object catalog to fit a clients special circumstances and budget. As a group,
their functionality can be modified to a wide range of uses beyond their
original implementation.
"There is a tremendous cost and time savings realized from the use of these
templates for new applications,: said Dan McCreary, President of Integrity
Solutions. "Not all companies have the same need," he continued, "We have
wrapped the basic time management and associated billing information into an
application that provides a head start to the development of a key component
to a complete custom Workflow application solution."
Time & Billing allows users to create daily time sheets that log time spent on
projects for specific customers and associate billing information to those
projects. It tracks customers, jobs, job elements, employees, billing rates,
daily time reports and time sheet line items. Reports allow users to see how
much time was spent by what people on what projects. These reports are then
fed directly into billing and other management systems. It currently runs on
SYBASE and DBKit.
Users are divided into two groups: administrators and non-administrators. The
non-administrators see a simplified, easy to use environment with just a few
windows and menu choices that allow them to perform their day-to-day entry of
time slips. The administrator(s) have an additional set of menus which provide
access to all of the foundation tables. These include clients, jobs,
employees, and billing cutoff dates. Additionally, all of the reporting
functions are available via the administrator's menus.
All windows and panels were designed to be straightforward and elegant.
Selections are made using lists and browsers wherever possible to minimize the
chance for erroneous entry. Information that is entered is checked for its
validity, and provisions have been made to ensure no discrepancies. Lists are
updated dynamically to ensure completeness.
Preloaded reports include client activity, client billing, and employee time
utilization. Each report assumes a date range as calculated since the last
report was run, unless the user chooses a different date range. Report data is
loaded into FrameMaker templates, allowing the user to use all of the
formatting options in FrameMaker to customize custom logos, letterheads and
type characteristics.
A separate program runs independently and constitutes a notification server:
electronic mail reminders are sent to individuals with missing or incomplete
time reports. Additionally, the administrators receive a summary of all
reminders sent, also via electronic mail.
A demo of Time & Billing that does not require a database server is available
to help show prospective clients how they might customize Time & Billing for
their specific needs.
Integrity Solutions will also be showing Time & Billing and their other tools
to interested clients in the Alembic Systems booth during the NeXTWORLD EXPO,
May 25-27, 1993.
