  18. Integrity Solutions Announces Time & Billing, A Functional Application
  19. Template for Rapid Development of Custom WorkFlow Applications

  21. April 20, 1993 (St. Paul, Minnesota) - Integrity Solutions, today announced
  22. the availability of Time & Billing, the first of a series of Functional
  23. Application Templates, designed to speed development of custom Workflow
  24. applications for their clients.
  25.  
  26. A Functional Application Template is a fully functional application that
  27. speeds development of custom applications by demonstrating a level of
  28. functionality not found in prototypes. These applications are designed to be
  29. easily customized by Integrity Solutions' highly trained staff and extensive
  30. object catalog to fit a clients special circumstances and budget. As a group,
  31. their functionality can be modified to a wide range of uses beyond their
  32. original implementation.

  34. "There is a tremendous cost and time savings realized from the use of these
  35. templates for new applications,: said Dan McCreary, President of Integrity
  36. Solutions. "Not all companies have the same need," he continued, "We have
  37. wrapped the basic time management and associated billing information into an
  38. application that provides a head start to the development of a key component
  39. to a complete custom Workflow application solution."

  41. Time & Billing allows users to create daily time sheets that log time spent on
  42. projects for specific customers and associate billing information to those
  43. projects. It tracks customers, jobs, job elements, employees, billing rates,
  44. daily time reports and time sheet line items. Reports allow users to see how
  45. much time was spent by what people on what projects. These reports are then
  46. fed directly into billing and other management systems. It currently runs on
  47. SYBASE and DBKit.

  49. Users are divided into two groups: administrators and non-administrators. The
  50. non-administrators see a simplified, easy to use environment with just a few
  51. windows and menu choices that allow them to perform their day-to-day entry of
  52. time slips. The administrator(s) have an additional set of menus which provide
  53. access to all of the foundation tables. These include clients, jobs,
  54. employees, and billing cutoff dates. Additionally, all of the reporting
  55. functions are available via the administrator's menus.

  57. All windows and panels were designed to be straightforward and elegant.
  58. Selections are made using lists and browsers wherever possible to minimize the
  59. chance for erroneous entry. Information that is entered is checked for its
  60. validity, and provisions have been made to ensure no discrepancies. Lists are
  61. updated dynamically to ensure completeness.

  63. Preloaded reports include client activity, client billing, and employee time
  64. utilization. Each report assumes a date range as calculated since the last
  65. report was run, unless the user chooses a different date range. Report data is
  66. loaded into FrameMaker templates, allowing the user to use all of the
  67. formatting options in FrameMaker to customize custom logos, letterheads and
  68. type characteristics.

  71. A separate program runs independently and constitutes a notification server:
  72. electronic mail reminders are sent to individuals with missing or incomplete
  73. time reports. Additionally, the administrators receive a summary of all
  74. reminders sent, also via electronic mail.

  76. A demo of Time & Billing that does not require a database server is available
  77. to help show prospective clients how they might customize Time & Billing for
  78. their specific needs.
